Words, Words, Words, by David Crystal

The Closing of the American Mind, by Allan Bloom

Why We’re Not Emergent (By Two Guys Who Should Be), by Kevin DeYoung and Ted Kluck

How Christianity Changed the World, by Alvin J. Schmidt

In The Beginning Was The Word, by Vern Sheridan Poythress

It is my desire to begin to form for myself a theory of education and language as it relates to life as a Christian in the 21st century, where language and history is undervalued. Rather than relying on conventional formal education to spoon-feed me a pre-formulated understanding of the world around me and its language and literature, I have chosen to begin exploring the plethora of books written by Christian and non-Christians on a variety of topics from history, to literature, language, education, semantics, culture, and beyond.
