Stories

There’s a lot of stories here in this city,

There’s a lot of stories here in this town,

Trying to make the ends meet,

Try to keep my head up,

There’s a lot of stories here in this city.

Marcus standing on the sidewalk,

That’s where he sleeps at night.

Marcus has a story too,

If you care enough to hear.

There’s a lot of stories here in this city,

There’s a lot of stories here in this town,

Trying to make the ends meet,

Try to keep my head up,

There’s a lot of stories here in this city.

Jackie’s sitting in the bank now,

She’s just trying to get a loan.

Jackie has a story too,

If you care enough to hear.

There’s a lot of stories here in this city,

There’s a lot of stories here in this town,

Trying to make the ends meet,

Try to keep my head up,

There’s a lot of stories here in this city.

Bobby’s driving down the freeway,

Speeding to the hospital.

Bobby has a story too,

If you care enough to hear.

There’s a lot of stories here in this city,

There’s a lot of stories here in this town,

Trying to make the ends meet,

Try to keep my head up,

There’s a lot of stories here in this city.

Take a little time to listen,

Take a little time to care.

There’s a lot of stories here in this city,

People you don’t even know.

There’s a lot of stories here in this city,

If you only care enough to hear.
