I recently purchased these earrings at the Dar es Salaam Artisan’s Market. They were handmade by Tanzanians working with Nuru Center, a NGO/ministry employing individuals with disabilities. The artisans working at Nuru Center create beautiful jewelry, banana-leaf cards, and other artwork. I own several items that they have designed, including a banana-leaf plaque of Africa and multiple pairs of earrings!
