Since it’s “transfer season” in the world of UCI mountain biking, it seems like as good a time as any to share some changes coming to my race “team” for 2026.
I first started racing under the “Ride Fierce Racing” name in 2021, as I was moving from racing with a team (Ronin Velosport) back in Indiana into the “privateer” model after moving to Virginia. I started coaching other cyclists that year as well, and the mantra I’d been using during races, with my vision of a cheetah–the image being both powerful, dangerous, and somehow beautiful as well –became a “name” under which to do all of those things: “Ride Fierce Racing.”
Since then, it is not only my “race identity” and coaching business, but has also grown into a women’s scholarship to get other women on bikes. Though I love racing and am in love with the process of growth and of being the best mountain biker I can be, I also want to “give back” to those just getting into the sport.
So when Harlan Price, of Take Aim Cycling, who I’ve worked with a skills coach for several seasons now, asked me if I would be interested in joining Take Aim as a racer and coach for the Take Aim development program–with the aim of getting more girls and women into enduro racing in our region–I said yes.
Ride Fierce Racing isn’t going away, and neither are the red jerseys. I will still be rocking what has become the “classic” Ride Fierce Racing look for all of my XC-style events, but will be sporting the Take Aim Cycling team jersey for enduro races.
